What is 14K Gold Fill

Gold filled wire is a professional jeweler’s grade material. Unlike gold plating, it will not crack, chip, peel, or turn your skin green. It is safe for most people with sensitive skin who can wear solid 14k gold.

Gold filled wire consists of a thick layer of 14k gold bonded to a core of jeweler’s brass. It contains one hundred times more gold than gold plated wire. With proper care, it can last a lifetime. It is not the same as gold plated or vermeil. It is more durable and higher quality.
